Using traditional, silver print film photography I promote and document historical locations in and around Calgary, Canada.  Silver prints provide a rich medium for portraying these locations and buildings due to the fine detail that can be recorded and the rich tonality possible through large-format film photography.  In today’s age of digital reproduction and where most images are viewed on a computer monitor in low resolution I feel as though the art of film photography needs to be preserved.  The cultural history of both Calgary and photography depends on it.
