Existing Art to be Stretched

Yes – Sketch Art Supplies will stretch any unmounted original art or photos printed on canvas! We do all of the work in-house. Please note that each framing job we receive is completely unique; therefore, “estimate” pricing is difficult to quote. However, we do receive many phone calls and emails asking for estimate pricing, so to be fair to inquiring (or shy) folks the following order was completed in December 2011:

- 48″x48″ original oil painting to be hand-stretched on a 2″ wood profile
- Image to wrap around edge (also known as “Gallery Style”)
- Wire was selected for hanging method; Wall Buddies are also available

Total price: Approximately $80.00 – $90.00 including tax.

Custom Stretched Canvases

· $15/hour flat rate labour
· $7 additional charge per cross bar required (one cross bar required for every 38 inches for each edge)
· With Canvas: $1.20 per linear inch
· Without Canvas: $0.71 per linear inch
· All stretchers are standard 2″ profile (depth); custom depths are priced via case-by-case basis.
· We use 3/4″ “Good One Side”Alberta plywood.
· Custom Stretchers do not qualify for any sort of discount. Prices are firm.
· 4 stretchers per week may be completed during off-season (January-July). 2 week minimum for all orders.
